Irma Borgsteede is an independent Dutch designer based in Veenendaal, Utrecht.

She transitioned from a career as a fine artist to fashion design, treating each piece of clothing as a piece of art. Her Wearable Art collections are known for their limited editions and unique hand-painted or graphically designed pieces. All produced in her own studio.
She emphasizes sustainability by using surplus fabrics for almost 30 years ensuring each item is unique and environmentally friendly.
Out of collaboration with other designers, she developed the “& by” collection with Dorrith de Beer which features integrated coat and bag designs inspired by contamporary architecture. This collection debuted at Dutch Design week in 2013.

At the moment she designs one-of-kind pieces originally designed items.
